Shefford Bowls Club Bedfordshire
(Affiliated to the E.B.A and B.C.B.A.)

Why not join use ?

Have you ever thought about playing lawn bowls?  If so then why not come along to the green one evening and meet some of the members who enjoy playing this most friendly of games.

Unfortunately it has the reputation of being an old man’s game because most people take it up after they have given up the more energetic sports.  Once they start bowling they all say “I wish I had started this game earlier in life”. However what ever your age you are welcome to come and try it out for yourself. Because in this day and age more and more young people are participating and enjoying themselves on the bowling green

The Shefford Club has excellent facilities and a green we are very proud of. The Club was formed in1965 is situated within the grounds of the Shefford Town Memorial Association. Which is off Hitchin Road and the entrance is opposite the Woolpack Public House. We are a mixed club totalling 60 members.

The club has a qualified instructor who will show you the basics of the game and to help you develop into an experienced bowler.  Please do not worry about equipment as the club has several sets of bowls for newcomers to use.

So the invitation is there, come along and receive some free instruction to see whether or not you want to go further.
